Valets (outside) – 6 volunteers
The Valets will assist our Drive Thru clients by loading the groceries into clients' vehicles. When needed, volunteers will also assist Community Market clients with their groceries from downstairs. Please follow the lead of the staff member or lead volunteer stationed at the Valet area.
Valets are expected to lift up to 30 pounds. This shift is client-facing.
Distribution Bagging (inside) - 4 volunteers
This shift is specifically for filling food boxes and bagging produce for distribution.
Filling food boxes - volunteers will work in partners to fill boxes for distribution. Volunteers will follow a set menu and put designated items into boxes on wheeled carts. Volunteers may be asked to lift and place the boxes outside (up to 40 lbs) of the pantry for storage. At the end of the shift, volunteers will take out the recycling and also re-stock shelves in the pantry.
Produce bagging - volunteers will create produce bags for distribution using a set menu. Volunteers may be asked to lift items up to 20 lbs.
