  • Join us for a meaningful morning at Variety - The Children’s Charity, where volunteers will help prepare and maintain the campus while supporting the organization’s programs and upcoming Holiday Lane event. 

    Tuesday, October 27, 2026 | 9:00 AM-12:00 PM 

    What to Expect:
    • 9:00 AM (Arrival): Volunteers will meet at Variety’s Pavilion and begin the morning with a brief tour of the campus.
    • 9:30 AM–12:00 PM (Volunteer Activity): Roll up your sleeves and lend a hand with a variety of fall maintenance and campus improvement projects. Depending on the needs of the day, activities may include raking leaves, weeding, planting and seeding, watering, composting, preparing or filling raised garden beds, potting seedlings, organizing, and general cleanup. Volunteers may also help prepare for Variety’s upcoming Holiday Lane event through tasks such as decorating, assembling welcome bags, and getting different areas of the campus ready for participants. 
    What to Bring:
    • Weather-appropriate clothing you don’t mind getting dirty
    • Sturdy, closed-toe shoes suitable for outdoor work
    • Gardening or work gloves
    • A reusable water bottle (water stations will be available) 
    Important Info:
    • Location: Variety – The Children’s Charity, 2950 Potshop Road, Worcester, PA 19490
    • Parking: Upon entering the main entrance, park in the first lot on the left. The Pavilion is about a one-minute walk from the parking lot.
    • Volunteer Waiver: All volunteers must complete Variety’s Release & Waiver of Liability Form prior to beginning the volunteer activity. The waiver can also be completed on a mobile device upon arrival. Link: https://form.jotform.com/VarietyPhila/volunteerreleaseandwaiverofliabiliy
    • Weather: Specific volunteer assignments may vary based on weather and Variety’s needs that day. 

    This is a great opportunity to spend a morning giving back, getting your hands dirty, and helping Variety maintain a welcoming and vibrant campus for the children and families they serve.
