2nd Annual IICF International Step Up Challenge logo
The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation invites you to relieve stress and embrace your competitive side – and give back to your community - by participating in the 2nd Annual IICF International Step Up Challenge! Proceeds from the challenge benefit the COVID-19 Crisis: IICF Children's Relief Fund, which supports nonprofit and charitable organizations serving children at risk of food insecurity and educational disruption due to the digital divide and other circumstances exacerbated by the pandemic.

This year, we will host two concurrent competitions, one for individuals and one for teams. The top two winning teams and individuals from each challenge completing the most steps and/or activities during the challenge will have the opportunity to designate a grant to the nonprofit of their choice – and the opportunity to present the grant check to the nonprofit recipient. Please note for team competitors, all teams' steps will be based on an average so that teams of different sizes will not have an advantage or disadvantage.

The prizes are as follows:
1st Prize Individual Winner: $1,500 to nonprofit of choice
1nd Prize Team Winner: $1,500 to nonprofit of choice
2nd Prize Individual Winner: $500 to nonprofit of choice
2nd Prize Team Winner: $500 to nonprofit of choice

Additionally, each individual or team who completes the daily minimum during the challenge duration (6,000 steps/day or 252,000 steps total) will be entered into a drawing to win the opportunity to designate a $250 grant to a nonprofit of choice.

*Using the Walker Tracker software, steps are automatically tracked using a device of your choice. Participants can also track a wide variety of activities to be converted to steps. You can view a full listing of compatible devices to use for the challenge here.

Participants must register in the app prior to the March 29th start date in order to have their steps tracked accurately. Registrants may join the challenge late, up until April 5th. If you join the challenge late, you will receive zero steps for the previous days of the challenge. After April 5th, you may no longer join the challenge.
