Founded in 1974, Warren Village’s integrated approach provides the essential ingredients for life transformation for formerly homeless, low-income, single parents and their children. These include safe and affordable housing, quality early education and childcare services, and self-sufficiency programming for the parents. Our focus is unleashing the power of the single-parents, primarily Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) women, who we serve and creating opportunity and community to change the trajectories of their lives and achieve sustainable personal and economic self-sufficiency. Annually, between 80 and 90% of residents move on to permanent, stable housing with approximately 30% moving into and maintaining market rate rental housing. Over half, 59%, of graduating residents have completed a degree or are on track toward earning a degree or certificate.
Family Nights are excellent opportunities for volunteer groups and individuals to engage with our residents. These evenings continue to strengthen a strong sense of community that is critical to our families’ success as they work towards self-sufficiency.
Volunteers will assist with serving dinner, facilitating games, and crafts at Cheeseman Park located at 1599 East 8th Ave., Denver, CO 80231.
Please note: all volunteers need to complete a background check with Warren's Village.
