IICF Boston Chapter Spring Event has been POSTPONED!

About This Event

Postponement of the 2020 IICF Boston Chapter’s Annual SpringEvent

 As the impact of Covid-19 throughout the worldcontinues to evolve rapidly, we at the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundationremain committed to the health and well-being of our supporters and ourcommunities. As previously announced, we’ve postponed all IICF events planned throughthe week of May 4 in accordance with the directives of federal and stategovernments and health agencies.

The Boston Chapter’s annual Spring Event has been postponed. Weare planning to reschedule the event for fall, 2020 at Joe’s Waterfront inBoston. As soon as a new date is set, more details will be shared.

Ultimately,we continue to be guided by the recommendations of the WHO, CDC and other stateand federal public health and governmental authorities and the counsel of thisboard and planning committee as we evaluate options and revise plans.

Asa nonprofit foundation with the mission of helping communities and enrichinglives, we remain steadfastly focused on raising funds for the IICF CommunityGrants Programs. Grants awarded through this program facilitate the delivery ofvital services in our local communities, directly benefiting individuals andfamilies in need who depend upon our support. Proceeds from this event willbenefit several Boston community nonprofits: Beacon Academy, Big Brothers BigSister of MA Bay, Bottom Line, Friends of the Children – Boston, In ControlFamily Foundation, Project Just Because, and the Women’s Lunch Place.

Theannual Spring Event is a significant fundraising event for the NortheastDivision Boston Chapter’s Community Grants Program. It is imperative that wecontinue raising funds during this time to mitigate the impact to our grantingcapabilities. Any sponsorships and tickets already purchased will supportthe new event date.

Yoursupport of this alternative date will allow us to continue our support of Bostonarea nonprofits and their critical work in the Boston community. We will remainin close contact as the situation continues to evolve and we evaluate options.
